Zubr Energy - launched "Punch" plate production line

As part of the “1 ATE - 1 Project” program, Zubr Energy LLC is expanding the production of rechargeable batteries. In March 2024, start-up complex 1a was put into operation - plate production. In June 2024, a stamped plate production line was put into operation at the electrode plate production site.

In battery production, several technologies for the production of electrode plates are used:
1. ExMet is an advanced negative electrode technology. It is based on perforating a metal strip followed by stretching. As a result, the plates have a more rigid structure, are less susceptible to corrosion and provide higher battery performance.

2. Punch — consists in the fact that the method of stamping from solid lead tape is used to produce electrode grids. As a result, the electrode acquires a frame around the entire perimeter of the grid. The electrode frame becomes stronger and more durable. This grid design increases the battery power and reduces the current resistance.

The production of electrode plates using ExMet technology at Zubr Energy began in March 2024, and in June of the same year they introduced the production of stamped plates. The peculiarity of the technology and its advantage are the grille, which is stable in thickness and has a strong edge (edge) along the entire perimeter of the grille, this prevents the envelope from breaking through and reduces the likelihood of a short circuit during battery operation. Using this technology, it is planned to produce a positive plate for all types of batteries, both passenger cars and trucks.

As part of the «1 ATE — 1 Project» («One District — One Project») program, Zubr Energy is expanding the production of rechargeable batteries, plans to produce batteries using AGM technology (starter batteries) and batteries of the industrial group PzS type.
