Zubr Energy and BrSTU Sign Cooperation Agreement

On July 2, 2026, in Pinsk, as part of the official events dedicated to the opening of 1AK-Plastic LLC and the new launch complexes of Zubr Energy LLC, Tatyana Rybachyonok, Director of Zubr Energy LLC, and Andrei Parfievich, Rector of Brest State Technical University, Candidate of Technical Sciences and Associate Professor, signed an agreement for the provision of scientific and technical services. The document provides for work related to the implementation of robotic systems, simulation modelling of production processes and specialist training.

Cooperation Between Production and a Technical University

The signing of the agreement formed part of the programme during which guests were introduced to the new production capabilities of 1AK-GROUP’s battery division: the production of plastic components for batteries at 1AK-Plastic LLC, the modernized production areas of Zubr Energy LLC, serial production of AGM batteries, robotic solutions and promising developments in energy storage systems.

For Zubr Energy LLC, cooperation with a technical university has direct practical value. The enterprise is undergoing comprehensive modernization, including the development of plate production, PzS technologies, automated assembly lines, serial production of AGM batteries and robotic production areas.

Cooperation with Brest State Technical University will help combine the enterprise’s production practice with the scientific and engineering expertise of higher education. This is especially important for tasks related to analysing production processes, modelling future solutions, assessing the efficiency of robotization and training specialists to work with modern equipment.

Development of Engineering Competencies

Modern battery production requires not only investment in equipment, but also systematic work with engineering personnel, applied research and technological competencies. Cooperation with the university is therefore considered part of the enterprise’s long-term development.

For the university, this interaction opens up opportunities to participate in real production tasks and projects related to automation and robotization. For the enterprise, it provides an additional resource for developing engineering solutions, improving the quality of specialist training and introducing digital design tools.

The signing of the agreement is a logical continuation of the course towards integrating production, science and education. This format of cooperation makes it possible to adapt educational and research competencies to industrial needs more quickly, while manufacturing enterprises gain access to regional scientific and technical expertise.

Official Events

The official events held on July 2, 2026 were dedicated to several important stages in the development of 1AK-GROUP’s battery division.

The first site hosted the opening of 1AK-Plastic LLC, a plant producing plastic components for batteries. The project was implemented in Pinsk as part of the “One District — One Project” initiative and is aimed at developing the local component base of the battery industry.

At the second site, guests were presented with the new launch complexes of Zubr Energy LLC and the results of the enterprise’s modernization. The programme included a presentation of production areas, a tour of the technological chain, a demonstration of serial AGM battery production and an introduction to promising solutions in energy storage systems.

The signing of the agreement with Brest State Technical University became a meaningful element of the event: it demonstrated that the enterprise’s development is connected not only with the launch of equipment, but also with the formation of an engineering environment around production.

Robotization, Localization and Industry 4.0

The development of cooperation with Brest State Technical University is directly connected with the technological renewal of 1AK-GROUP’s battery division. Today, the holding is developing several interconnected production sites in Pinsk: Zubr Energy LLC as a key battery plant and 1AK-Plastic LLC as an enterprise producing plastic components for batteries.

Zubr Energy LLC is consistently developing automation and robotization of production processes. The enterprise has installed 15 industrial robotic systems, with a robot density of 366 robots per 10 000 employees. As part of the plant’s modernization, the enterprise is developing plate production, PzS traction batteries, automated assembly lines and serial production of AGM batteries.

1AK-Plastic LLC has also become an example of a new type of highly automated production. The enterprise operates 12 industrial robotic systems, with robot density reaching 1 600 robots per 10 000 employees. The launch of the plant made it possible to increase the localization level of starter battery production in Belarus to 95% and strengthened 1AK-GROUP’s own component base within the battery division.

These projects show that the holding’s development is based not only on expanding production capacities, but also on transitioning to modern principles of production organization, where automated lines, robotic systems, digital modelling, engineering analytics and the training of personnel for a new technological level play a key role.

In this sense, the agreement with Brest State Technical University is not a separate formal document, but part of a technological development strategy. It supports 1AK-GROUP’s movement towards Industry 4.0 — production based on robotization, digital tools, engineering knowledge and the continuous development of competencies.
