Assembly is carried out on a semi-automatic line and includes the following operations:
— assembling a plate package
— soldering bridges and terminals
— welding the lid
— tightness control
— marking.

Cells are formed on a line with electrolyte circulation. During the formation process, the following parameters are automatically controlled:
— density, level and temperature of the electrolyte
— current parameters.

There are two main types of industrial batteries — stationery and traction. Stationary lead-acid batteries can be either low-maintenance with liquid electrolyte (such as OPzS, OGI and GroE) or maintenance-free with gel electrolyte (for example, OPzV). Traction lead-acid batteries are also represented by two groups by electrolyte type: low-maintenance with liquid electrolyte (PzS, PzB) and maintenance-free with gel electrolyte (PzV, PzVB).

Traction batteries using PzS technology are known for their high reliability and durability due to special design features. Positive plates are manufactured using the «armor» technology, which ensures their mechanical strength and resistance to corrosion, while negative plates are created using the «smeared» technology, which contributes to a high density of the active mass and improves electrical characteristics. The body and cover are made of polypropylene, which ensures chemical resistance and strength, and the electrolyte level control system includes manual plugs for adding water and optional automatic systems.

Each PzS traction battery consists of several series-connected elements, where the positive and negative electrodes are separated by separators and connected to each other by rigid bridges, providing reliable current leads. The electrodes are placed in a plastic case, and the cover is welded, ensuring tightness.
PzS batteries are used to power floor transport, such as electric cars, electric forklifts, electric carts and other special equipment. The main advantages of PzS batteries are long service life and high cyclicity.
Thus, PzS traction batteries are a reliable and effective solution for various industrial applications, providing high performance and durability. The production of these batteries is being mastered in the Republic of Belarus.
At Zubr Energy LLC, in test mode, the assembly and formation of 2V cells is carried out. By the end of 2024, the installation of equipment is expected, which will allow the production of a grid for plates and the coating of plates for PzS cells. Thus, Zubr Energy LLC plans to ensure a full cycle of production of traction batteries using PzS technology in the Republic of Belarus.
