Battery plant that will be built in the free economic zone "Brest", assigned to the fifth category — the least dangerous from the point of view of emissions into the air. This was stated by first Deputy Minister of natural resources and environmental protection Iya Malkina on air of TV channel "Belarus 1".

May 29, 2018 in the walls of the Belarusian national technical University was held the seminar on the theme "Opportunities and prospects for the use of batteries in the energy and other sectors of the economy." On the basis of BNTU representatives of the academic community, and representatives of industry and energetic complex exchange of expert views on the prospects for, development and production of batteries in Belarus.

During the work of the "open line" we received 10 cases and took place on 27 dialogues. Open line is a single information channel in the format of chat and email.

Battery plant IPower LLC from July 2018 planned the installation and commissioning of the equipment. One of the suppliers of equipment will be the Italian company Sovema Group.
