On 2–3 September 2026, the 12th International Scientific and Technical Conference “Innovations in Mechanical Engineering” was held at the Joint Institute of Mechanical Engineering of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. For the third consecutive year, 1AK-GROUP partnered with the conference, which brings together representatives of the scientific and engineering communities from Belarus, Russia and the EAEU countries.

For the Group, participation in such events is part of systematic efforts to strengthen its in-house scientific and technical capabilities and expand cooperation with specialised research institutions and universities. 1AK-GROUP develops solutions in batteries and energy storage systems, electric transport, industrial automation, robotics and machine vision, and is interested in bringing promising scientific developments into practical industrial use.
Head of JIME welcomes representatives of the holding
Vadim Malyshko, General Director of the 1AK-GROUP management company, addressed the conference participants with a welcome speech. He noted that the development of competitive industrial products is directly linked to the introduction of new technologies and outlined areas where the Group is interested in further cooperation with the Joint Institute of Mechanical Engineering: mechanised systems for agriculture, energy storage systems and solutions for electric transport, machine vision, and other applied technologies for industry.

Supporting young scientists and engineers is another important area of cooperation. 1AK-GROUP organised the competition for young scientists and students for the best scientific paper and provided prizes for participants and winners. The competition gives young researchers an opportunity to present their work to the professional scientific community and receive feedback on its potential for further applied development.
In 2026, the competition demonstrated a strong practical focus. A significant share of the presented research covered computer modelling, autonomous vehicle control, robotics, digital systems and software solutions for mechanical engineering.
The topics included «Validation of the Mathematical Model of the BELAZ-7558R Mining Dump Truck for Autonomous Control Tasks», «Software Optimisations in Visual Modelling of Road Situations», «Optical Encoder for Robotics», as well as other projects aimed at solving specific engineering challenges.
Commission hears a presentation
The best competition entry, combining modelling, experimental work and design innovation, was the study by Russian researchers entitled «A Method for Reducing Dynamic and Vibration Loads in High-Speed Tracked Vehicles by Stabilising Oscillatory Processes in the Running Gear».
The competition results were presented by Kirill Dobrego, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences and Head of the Energy Storage Systems Development Project at 1AK-GROUP. He awarded prizes to participants and winners and emphasised the importance of advancing promising research towards practical application.
Awarding prizes to young scientists
1AK-GROUP's cooperation with research institutions and universities is focused on applied objectives: evaluating promising developments, adapting them to production requirements, and involving young specialists in real engineering projects. For the Group, this is one of the practical tools for developing new products and strengthening technological capabilities.
