PzS batteries are traction lead-acid batteries with tubular positive plates and liquid electrolyte for equipment operating in cyclic charge and discharge modes. The 1AK-ZUBR battery plant has organized production of 2V PzS cells and assembly of complete traction batteries. The production capacity of this area is up to 100,000 PzS cells per year. Production includes robotic operations, process control, formation with electrolyte circulation, chemical and electrical testing in 1AK-GROUP’s own laboratories.
The PzS production cycle includes casting of current-carrying elements, manufacturing of positive and negative plates, assembly of 2V cells, formation with electrolyte circulation, parameter control and assembly of complete batteries.
The production process uses Pb-Sb alloys, tubular positive plates, leak testing, short-circuit control, incoming and outgoing inspection. Formation with electrolyte circulation helps ensure uniform activation of cells, stable temperature conditions and control of electrolyte density.
A complete PzS traction battery is assembled according to equipment parameters: required voltage, capacity, battery compartment dimensions, weight, terminal type, connectors and case. This approach enables solution selection for a specific forklift, stacker, towing tractor, cleaning machine or other industrial equipment model.
2V PzS cells are the basic element of a traction battery. They are selected by required capacity, battery compartment size, weight, operating time and equipment duty cycle.
The range includes cells with positive plate capacities of 80, 105, 125, 140 and 155 Ah. Depending on the number of plates, the cell capacity range is from 160 to 1240 Ah. For PzS cells, it is important to consider not only capacity but also dimensions, electrolyte-filled weight and compatibility with the equipment battery compartment.
